As per reports, Laos Prime Minister (PM) Sonexay Siphandone and his spouse are scheduled for an official visit to Vietnam from Saturday (06 January) to Sunday (07 January) at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh, marking his first trip to the neighboring country since taking office in December 2022.

• During his visit, the Laos leader will co-chair the 46th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Inter-governmental Committee from Saturday (06 January) to Sunday (07 January).
• After attending a welcome ceremony hosted by PM Chinh, Siphandone is scheduled to engage in a series of activities in Hanoi.
• Additionally, Chairperson of the Bulgarian National Assembly Rosen Dimitrov Zhelyazkov is also scheduled to visit Vietnam from Friday (05 January) till Tuesday (09 January) at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Vuong Dinh Hue.
