Traffic diversions announced in Lurigancho-Chosica from Monday (31 August)

As per reports, the Municipal Company for Support to Strategic Projects (EMAPE) initiated a vehicular diversion plan from Monday (31 August) due to the construction of the new La Capitana bridge in the Lurigancho-Chosica district.

• The construction project has an execution period of 180 calendar days and involves an investment of PEN 25,700,000 to replace the Bailey bridge installed in 2017.
• The new bridge will feature a length of 50 metres, a width of 15.90 metres, two lanes of 3.60 metres each, and lateral sidewalks of 1.80 metres for pedestrian movement.
• Reports indicate that alternative routes have been established for motorists travelling between Carretera Central, Lima, and Cajamarquilla, with an approximate completion date expected by late February 2027.
