Road blockades and protests scheduled in San Julian for Wednesday (02 September)

As per reports, social organizations in the municipality of San Julián in the department of Santa Cruz scheduled a 24-hour road blockade for Wednesday (02 September) to protest Supreme Decree 5676, which doubled the price of diesel for large consumers after partially eliminating the subsidy.

• Transport unions, agricultural federations, and social groups announced nationwide mobilizations and additional road blockades to defy the ongoing state of exception.
• Regional organizations across departments including La Paz, Santa Cruz, and Cochabamba are coordinating actions to demand the repeal of Supreme Decree 5676 and immediate government action addressing critical fuel scarcity.
