As per reports, the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), an affiliate of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, is scheduled to temporarily restrict heavy vehicles and buses transporting workers from entering Abu Dhabi Island during the morning peak period from Monday (31 August) to Friday (04 September).
• The restrictions are scheduled to apply daily between 0630 hours local time (0230 hours UTC) and 0900 hours local time (0500 hours UTC).
• Heavy vehicles and worker buses will be prohibited from entering Abu Dhabi Island during the designated morning peak period.
• However, logistics support vehicles shall be exempt from the restrictions and will continue to be permitted to enter the island.
• The measure has been introduced to regulate vehicle movements during peak periods and support smoother traffic flows on roads leading to and within Abu Dhabi Island.
