As per reports, a procession with the image of the Holy Christ of San Agustín, the Sacred Protector of Granada, is scheduled to take place through central Granada on 14 September, following a Holy Mass at Granada Cathedral at 1900 hours local time (1700 hours UTC).
• The procession has been convened by Archbishop of Granada José María Gil Tamayo in response to the earthquakes affecting Granada city and the wider province.
• Reports indicate that the procession is expected to depart from Granada Cathedral after the Eucharistic celebration and follow a route through Plaza de las Pasiegas, Marqués de Gerona, Mesones, Puerta Real de España, Reyes Católicos, Gran Vía, Cristo de San Agustín, Plaza Villamena, Cárcel Baja and Pie de la Torre before returning to Plaza de las Pasiegas and Granada Cathedral.
• The procession is expected to also include a raised cross and a liturgical group. Musical accompaniment is expected to be provided by the Magnum Ensemble vocal group and the Santo Ángel Custodio Musical Chapel.
