As per reports, Labor Minister Juan Sheput stated that government is considering declaring holidays during Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Peru scheduled for 11 November to 16 November.
• Possibility of establishing holidays, both nationally and regionally, is being evaluated, but no decision has yet been made.
• Ministry of Labor has formed a team in charge of preparing an inventory of the activities related to the visit to present it to Foreign Minister Carlos Espá, who is leading the coordination of this event.
• Possibility of establishing tolerances in Lima and other areas that may be involved in the mass activities linked to the visit is being evaluated.
