As per reports, the Alliance for the Freedom of Political Prisoners has scheduled the Great March: One Voice for Freedom at Parque Carabobo Plaza, Caracas, at 1100 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) on Monday (24 August) in support of the release of political prisoners.

• Reports indicate that families of detainees, human rights activists, members of the press and civil society participants are expected to attend the demonstration.
• Organisers have requested participants to wear white shirts and bring photographs of individuals who remain in state custody. The demonstration is expected to focus on demands for the release of all individuals detained for political reasons.
