As per reports, Rwanda is scheduled to host the 21st Kwita Izina Gorilla Naming Ceremony and associated events from 27 August to 05 September, with activities centred on Kinigi in Musanze District and Kigali. The flagship gorilla-naming ceremony is scheduled for 04 September at the foothills of Volcanoes National Park in Kinigi.

• The programme will begin with a Community Project Launch in Kinigi on 27 August, followed by a Namer Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience on 03 September and the main ceremony on 04 September.
• A Conservation Exhibition will operate in Kinigi from 02 September to 05 September, while a Meet & Greet and concert is scheduled at BK Arena in Kigali on 05 September.
