As per reports, the Democratic Rights Committee held a protest rally at Shahbagh intersection in Dhaka on Tuesday (18 August), demanding measures to address the gas and electricity crisis.

The protesters also demanded an end to the privatization of state-owned factories and the power and energy sector, government price controls on medicines, and the cancellation of the US trade deal among other demands.
