As per reports, an explosive drone attack targeted Colombian Army personnel in a rural area of El Carmen municipality, Norte de Santander, on Saturday (15 August). The attack killed one Army non-commissioned officer and injured four soldiers.

The personnel, from the 10th Special Energy and Road Battalion, were conducting security operations when they were attacked. The four injured soldiers were evacuated to medical facilities by the Colombian Aerospace Force.
