The Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in connection with ‘Freedom Festival’ that is scheduled from 1200 to 2200 hours (local time) on Saturday (15 August) at the Vidhana Soudha Grand Steps.
The following traffic measures have been announced:
• Vehicles will not be allowed from Ambedkar Road towards KR Circle. Traffic from KR Circle on Sheshadri Road heading to Shivajinagar and Vasanth Nagar via Ambedkar Road will also be restricted.
• The following are suggested alternate routes for vehicles bound for KR Circle via Ambedkar Road:
– Vehicles can instead take the Balekundri Junction–Cunningham Road–Chandrika–LRDE–Basaveshwara Junction–Palace Road route.
– Vehicles shall proceed from Balekundri Junction via CTO, Queens Junction, Siddalingaiah Junction, RRMR and Corporation Circle.
– Vehicles coming from BRV Road shall proceed via Anil Kumble, take a right turn and continue through Queens Junction, Siddalingaiah Junction, RRMR and Corporation Circle.
– Vehicles coming from BRV Road shall proceed via Raj Bhavan Road, take a left turn at Chalukya Circle and continue through Palace Road towards KR Circle.
• Vehicles proceeding from KR Circle on Sheshadri Road towards Shivajinagar/Vasanth Nagar via Ambedkar Road can take these alternate routes:
– At Maharani Flyover, vehicles shall take a left turn and proceed towards Vasanth Nagar/Shivajinagar via Basaveshwara Circle on Palace Road.
– From KR Circle, vehicles shall proceed via Nrupathunga Road-Corporation Circle-KB Road towards Shivajinagar.
