Daily weather update for Delhi-NCR on Friday (14 August)

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for Delhi-NCR on Friday (14 August), as per the District-wise forecast PDF document issued at 0945 hours (local time) on Friday (14 August).

• Forecast: No weather warning has been issued for North Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi, South West Delhi, South East Delhi, New Delhi, Central Delhi, East Delhi, Shahdara, Faridabad, Gurugram, Noida and Ghaziabad. Generally cloudy skies with a few spells of very light to light rainfall and moderate rainfall during the early morning to noon are forecast, followed by another spell of very light to light rainfall towards the evening or night on Friday (14 August).
• Nowcast: A red alert warning has been issued across the Delhi region at 1300 hours (local time) on Friday (14 August) for heavy rainfall of more than 15 millimetres per hour (mm/hr). The Nowcast is valid until 1630 hours (local time) on Friday (14 August).
• Nowcast: A yellow weather warning has been issued for light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, along with strong surface winds of up to 40 kilometres per hour (kmph) in Gurugram and Faridabad. The update is valid until 1731 hours (local time) on Friday (14 August).
• Nowcast: A red alert warning has been issued for Noida and Ghaziabad for intense rainfall accompanied by a 60 percent probability of lightning. The Nowcast is valid till 1500 hours on Friday (14 August).
