The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has forecast monsoon rainfall, occasional rain and thunderstorms across parts of the Philippines on Monday (10 August).
• Monsoon rains are anticipated across Benguet, Zambales and Bataan due to the Southwest Monsoon. Moderate to heavy rainfall, with periods of intense rain, may cause flash floods or landslides.
• Occasional rainfall is anticipated across Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro due to the Southwest Monsoon. Moderate to heavy rainfall may cause flash floods or landslides.
• Cloudy skies with scattered rainfall and thunderstorms are anticipated across Western Visayas, the rest of the Cagayan Valley, the rest of CALABARZON, the rest of MIMAROPA, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur due to the Southwest Monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rainfall may cause flash floods or landslides.
• Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are anticipated across the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
