As per reports, the Serra do Rio do Rastro road is scheduled to remain fully closed between Lauro Müller and Bom Jardim da Serra, Brazil, on Saturday (08 August) from 1730 hours local time (2030 hours UTC) to 2230 hours local time (0130 hours UTC, 09 August) due to the Serpente Negra – Night Run mountain race.

• Reports indicate the closure is expected between Parador Mirante 12 in Lauro Müller and CPMRv Post 21, near Mirante da Serra, in Bom Jardim da Serra. The race is scheduled to commence at 1800 hours local time (2100 hours UTC), and approximately 500 athletes are expected to participate.
• The event route extends approximately 10 kilometres with an elevation gain of around 1,400 metres, beginning in front of Hotel Du Rastro and concluding at the Mirante da Serra do Rio do Rastro viewpoint. The Military Highway Police Command (CPMRv) stated that the road is expected to reopen immediately following the conclusion of the competition.
