As per reports, the Africa50 General Shareholders’ Meeting and Infra for Africa Forum are scheduled at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC), Dar es Salaam, from Wednesday (05 August) to Thursday (06 August).
• Reports indicate that more than 1,200 delegates, including Heads of State, senior government officials, investors and development partners, are expected to attend.
• Reports indicate that the official opening ceremony is scheduled from 0900 hours local time (0600 hours UTC) to 1015 hours local time (0715 hours UTC) on Wednesday (05 August), following the arrival of Heads of State and a group photograph from 0800 hours local time (0500 hours UTC) to 0900 hours local time (0600 hours UTC).
• Reportedly, the Government of Tanzania has completed security and logistical preparations for the event. Tanzania President Samia Suluhu Hassan is scheduled to lead the opening ceremony, while heightened security measures and localised traffic disruptions are expected around the JNICC and adjoining roads throughout the summit.
