As per reports, the following are the latest updates on Typhoon Dolphin in Taiwan, as of Sunday (02 August):

• At 0800 hours (local time), Typhoon Dolphin was centred near 22.7 degrees North, 153.4 degrees East over the western North Pacific Ocean and was moving west-northwest at 23 kilometres per hour.
• The typhoon had a minimum central pressure of 925 hectopascals, with maximum sustained winds near the centre of 51 metres per second and gusts reaching 63 metres per second.
• Winds exceeding 15 metres per second extended an average of 320 kilometres from the centre, reaching 330 kilometres in the northwest quadrant, 350 kilometres in the northeast quadrant, 260 kilometres in the southwest quadrant, and 350 kilometres in the southeast quadrant.
• Winds exceeding 25 metres per second extended an average of 180 kilometres from the centre, reaching 180 kilometres in the northwest quadrant, 190 kilometres in the northeast quadrant, 160 kilometres in the southwest quadrant, and 190 kilometres in the southeast quadrant.
