As per reports, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake was recorded in the Campi Flegrei area near Pozzuoli, Naples, Italy, at 1946 hours (local time) on Friday (31 July). The earthquake was strongly felt across Naples and surrounding municipalities.

The event was reported as the strongest seismic activity since the recent increase in bradyseismic activity in the Pozzuoli area. A rock collapse was reported in Pozzuoli, damaging vehicles in the area. Authorities are conducting inspections, and no widespread structural damage has been confirmed.
