As per reports, US National Weather Service (NWS) has warned that another significant heat wave is expected to affect Southern California, following the continuation of ongoing extreme heat warnings and heat advisories through the evening of Monday (27 July).

• Current conditions are being driven by temperatures ranging from 95 degrees Fahrenheit to 101 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius), combined with higher-than-normal humidity, creating hazardous heat conditions across much of the region. While a slight cooldown is forecast for Tuesday (28 July) to Wednesday (29 July), with temperatures decreasing marginally and humidity easing, forecasters expect the respite to be short-lived.
• An upper-level high-pressure system is forecast to shift back toward Arizona from Thursday (30 July), bringing another period of dangerous heat. Afternoon temperatures are expected to reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit to 110 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius to 43 degrees Celsius) in parts of Southern California by Saturday (01 August), with even typically cooler coastal areas expected to experience temperatures in the 80s degrees Fahrenheit (around 27-31 degrees Celsius). Maximum temperatures are forecast to remain 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit (six to eight degrees Celsius) above seasonal averages.
