As per reports, the municipal government of Ascencion de Guarayos declared a yellow alert following a significant increase in heat foci within its jurisdiction on Thursday (23 July).

• Reports indicate that the number of heat foci surged from 69 to 119 in less than one day, prompting immediate emergency response protocols.
• Reports suggest that at least one of these active heat foci has developed into a wildfire near the boundary with Marban province in Beni department.
• Reports indicate that local authorities have deployed approximately 20 active firefighters and municipal operational personnel to monitor and contain the spreading fire.
• Reports suggest that the municipal administration has signed an agreement with the Autoridad de Bosques y Tierra (ABT) to secure firefighting vehicles and tactical equipment for enhanced mitigation.
