As per reports, family-oriented public events are expected to be held across several Moscow parks on Saturday (25 July) and Sunday (26 July) as part of the ‘Summer in Moscow’ program.
• On Saturday (25 July), Northern Tushino Park and Aleshkinsky Forest is expected to host ‘5 Versts’ community running events between 0900 hours local time (0600 hours UTC) to 1100 hours local time (0800 hours UTC), while Sokolniki Park is expected to host a lecture and masterclass on Soviet poster art beginning at 1600 hours local time (1300 hours UTC), with advance registration required.
• On Sunday (26 July), Northern Tushino Park is expected to host Navy Day celebrations and the 20th anniversary of the Museum of the History of the Russian Navy.
• The official ceremony is expected to commence at 1000 hours local time (0700 hours UTC) on the Khimki Reservoir embankment, followed by a full-day programme featuring interactive exhibits, sports competitions, maritime-themed workshops and family activities, which are expected to attract increased visitor numbers.
