Weather disruptions expected across Turkiye between Saturday (18 July) and Sunday (19 July)

As per reports, the Turkish State Meteorological Service has forecast high temperatures, thunderstorms, rainfall and dust transport across multiple regions of Türkiye on Saturday (18 July) and Sunday (19 July).

• On Saturday (18 July), thunderstorms and rainfall are forecast in the Eastern Black Sea provinces of Samsun, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize and Artvin, the Eastern Anatolian provinces of Erzurum, Erzincan, Kars and Ardahan, and locally in Adana and Hatay.
• On Sunday (19 July), thunderstorms and rainfall are expected to continue in the northeastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia, while additional rainfall is forecast for the coastal areas of the Western Black Sea and the inland provinces of Burdur and Isparta.
• Air temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal averages in the Aegean, Marmara and Central Anatolia regions, with temperatures reaching 34 degrees Celsius in Ankara and up to 39 degrees Celsius in Diyarbakır.
