As per the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred at 1830 hours (local time) on Thursday (16 July).

The earthquake was recorded in the Banda Sea at a depth of 113 kilometers, with its epicentre located at 6.6 South Latitude and 130.9 East Longitude.
