As per reports, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued orange and yellow level heat advisory, effective from Thursday morning (16 July) through Thursday afternoon (16 July), due to elevated daytime temperatures.

• An orange level heat advisory has been issued for Taipei City, New Taipei City, Changhua County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Tainan City, and Hualien County, where daily maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 36 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.
• A yellow level heat advisory has been issued for Miaoli County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Chiayi City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Taitung County, where daily maximum temperatures are expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius.
• The advisory is anticipated to remain in effect until 1700 hours (local time) on Thursday (16 July).
• The advisory was issued at 1733 hours (local time) on Wednesday (15 July).
