As per the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), a 4.8 magnitude earthquake was reported approximately 24 kilometers southwest of Claveria in Masbate at 1518 hours (local time) on Tuesday (14 July). The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
