As per reports, the Ranchi Traffic Police has announced special traffic arrangements across Ranchi from Thursday (16 July) to Saturday (25 July) in view of the Jagannath Rath Yatra and Rath Mela (Jagannath Chariot Procession and Fair). The measures are intended to facilitate the movement of devotees, manage crowds, and ensure smooth vehicular traffic.

• Designated parking arrangements have been made for vehicles approaching the fair from Birsa Chowk, Tupudana, Hatia, Dhurwa, and the Ring Road, with parking facilities available at Shaheed Maidan and Prabhat Tara Maidan.
• Entry of cars, auto-rickshaws, passenger vehicles, and motorcycles will be restricted on the stretches between Tiril Mor and Mausi Bari Roundabout, Shaheed Maidan and Mausi Bari Roundabout, and Prabhat Tara T-junction and Jagannathpur Bazaar during the advisory period.
• Alternative routes have been designated for vehicles travelling between the Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), Jharkhand Legislative Assembly area, Ring Road, and central Ranchi.
• Authorities stated that additional temporary traffic diversions and movement restrictions may be implemented depending on crowd size and traffic conditions during the festival period.
