Heatwave forecast across southern England and Wales from Sunday (05 July)

As per reports, a prolonged heatwave is forecast across parts of southern England and Wales from Sunday (05 July), with temperatures expected to peak at approximately 34 degrees Celsius across parts of South East England on Thursday (09 July) or Friday (10 July).

• The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued Yellow Heat-Health Alerts for London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Norwich, Leicester, Nottingham, Southampton, and surrounding areas across the East Midlands, East of England, South East England, South West England, and the West Midlands until 2000 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) on Saturday (11 July).
• A hosepipe ban is scheduled to remain in effect across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight from 0001 hours local time (2301 hours UTC) on Friday (10 July) until further notice.
