As per reports, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck 13 kilometres west of Petatlán, Guerrero State, at 0239 hours local time (0839 hours UTC) on Friday (26 June).
• According to preliminary automatic detection by the Servicio Sismológico Nacional (National Seismological Service of Mexico), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 21.8 kilometres, with its epicentre located at 17.548 degrees North, 101.397 degrees West.
• Weak shaking (Modified Mercalli Intensity III) was expected near the epicentre, particularly in communities surrounding Petatlán and Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, approximately 19.5 kilometres northwest of the epicentre.
• No felt reports, casualties or damage had been reported. Authorities continue to monitor the situation for any aftershocks or damage assessments.
