The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported a 4.0-magnitude earthquake approximately 63 kilometres southwest of Balut Island, Municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental, at 1648 hours (local time) on Saturday (13 June).

The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 19 kilometres.
