As per reports, in New Mexico, increasing moisture associated with a cold front is expected to bring isolated rainfall and thunderstorms across central, northern, and eastern parts of the state on Friday (12 June).

• On Friday (12 June) afternoon and evening, isolated thunderstorms are forecast to develop across central, northern, and eastern New Mexico. Some storms in eastern New Mexico are expected to produce locally heavy rainfall. Temperatures are forecast to be slightly lower than recent days, following a prolonged period of very hot conditions with widespread temperatures in the 90s degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees Celsius) and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius).
• A further increase in upper-level moisture is expected on Saturday (13 June), supporting another round of rainfall and thunderstorms. A second cold front is forecast to move into the state from Saturday (13 June) night into Sunday (14 June), bringing cooler temperatures and an additional surge of low-level moisture. These conditions are expected to result in more widespread rainfall and thunderstorm activity on Sunday (14 June), particularly across eastern New Mexico where the heaviest rainfall is forecast.
• Rainfall and thunderstorm chances are expected to persist through Monday (15 June), maintaining the potential for localized flooding in areas that experience repeated rounds of heavy rainfall.
