As per reports, BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, is scheduled to commence a six week road safety improvement programme on the A9 dual carriageway at the Trinafour Junction near Drumochter, Perth and Kinross, on Monday (15 June).
• Works are scheduled between 0800 hours and 1800 hours local time (0700 hours and 1700 hours UTC), Monday to Friday, and are expected to continue until late July.
• The project includes replacement of the central reserve safety barrier to meet current safety standards and drainage improvements following a road safety review of the A9 corridor.
• No works are currently scheduled at weekends; however, some overnight working may be required.
• To facilitate the works, a 24 hour single lane closure and reduced speed limit are scheduled throughout the construction period.
• From 01 July, the lane closure is currently planned to operate overnight only between 1900 hours and 0700 hours local time (1800 hours and 0600 hours UTC).
• Transport Scotland and BEAR Scotland confirmed that consultation has been conducted with relevant stakeholders ahead of the works to minimise disruption.
