As per reports, the Panhellenic Federation of Public Hospital Employees (POEDIN) has scheduled a work stoppage and rally in Athens on Wednesday (17 June).
• The work stoppage is scheduled from 1200 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) to 1500 hours local time (1200 hours UTC), while a rally is scheduled outside the Ministry of Health in the Vathis Square area of central Athens at 1230 hours local time (0930 hours UTC).
• Reports indicate that the mobilization is linked to concerns over proposed provisions related to the Heavy and Unhealthy Professions framework, known as BAE, which is expected to be discussed in Parliament.
• Reportedly, POEDIN has raised concerns regarding the inclusion criteria for healthcare workers under the BAE framework, stating that employees performing similar duties may be subject to different conditions based on recruitment dates and employment status.
