As per reports, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) forecast that a low-pressure system moving along the front is likely to sustain cloud development and is likely to cause localized heavy rainfall from Wednesday (10 June) to Thursday (11 June).
• Localized intense rainfall is expected across the affected regions, with forecast 24-hour precipitation amounts reaching up to 120 millimeters in Okinawa Prefecture and up to 100 millimeters in the Amami region of Kagoshima Prefecture through the morning of Thursday (11 June).
• The advisory indicates an elevated risk of thunderstorms, lightning activity, and strong wind gusts, including potential tornado-like conditions in isolated areas.
