The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning for parts of Malaysia valid until 0900 hours (local time) on Tuesday (09 June).

• Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in Perlis. In Kedah, the warning covers Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Yan, Pendang and Kuala Muda.
• In Selangor, the affected areas include Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Sepang. Similar weather conditions are also expected in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
• In Negeri Sembilan, thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast in Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Tampin.
• The warning also covers Melaka and parts of Johor, including Tangkak, Segamat and Muar. In Sarawak, the affected areas include Telang Usan and Marudi in Miri Division, as well as Limbang.
