As per reports, the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) has deployed emergency response teams across multiple municipalities following severe flash flooding across Bacău, Vrancea, and Vaslui counties on Saturday (06 June).
• Heavy rainfall accumulations over brief periods caused extensive urban waterlogging and drainage overflows, inundating household properties, roadways, and public infrastructure.
• In Vrancea County, emergency firefighters performed tactical water evacuation operations inside the basement of the Focșani County Emergency Clinical Hospital.
• Emergency rescue teams successfully evacuated a person with disabilities who required medical assistance near the flooded Vâlcele underpass in Focșani.
• Local municipal assessments indicate that approximately 25 households and residential yards sustained structural water damage within the Urechești locality.
• Concurrently, severe convective rainfall impacted adjacent regional territories, completely flooding the central headquarters of the Vaslui County Police Department
• In Bacău County, most of the problems were recorded in the municipality of Onești, where the crews of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations acted to evacuate water from the yards and from several streets, such as Calea Bacăului, Perchiului, Ecoului, Nucului, Valea Caraclăului and Aleea Podu Alb.
• In Onești, a cellar was flooded on Nucului Street, and at the exit of the city, on the road to Rotunda, a car was stuck on the water-covered road.
• The affected areas include Focșani, Urechești, Bacău, Vaslui, Bârlad, and Toplița, with key road corridors at risk, including the DN2/E85 European route, the DN10 highway, and regional county routes.
