According to reports, the Met Office has issued a yellow wind warning for Saturday (06 June), effective from 0900 hours local time (0800 hours UTC) to 1900 hours local time (1800 hours UTC), for Cornwall, English Channel coastal districts, the Isle of Wight and Sussex.

• Reports indicate that strong southwesterly to westerly winds are expected to move eastwards from Cornwall towards Sussex, with wind gusts of 45 to 50 miles per hour widely forecast along coastal areas and gusts reaching up to 55 miles per hour in exposed locations.
• Strong winds have affected western Cornwall and are expected to extend across Cornwall, English Channel coastal districts, the Isle of Wight and Sussex before gradually easing later in the day.
• On Sunday (07 June), rainfall and thunderstorms are forecast in western England, particularly affecting areas including Cornwall, Devon and adjacent coastal districts, with windy conditions expected to persist along coastal locations as the weather system moves southeastwards.
• Reports indicate that from Monday (08 June) to Wednesday (10 June), changeable weather conditions are expected across southern and western parts of the United Kingdom, including Cornwall, the Isle of Wight and Sussex, with periods of rainfall and unsettled weather conditions forecast.
