The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.3 magnitude earthquake approximately 186 kilometres northeast of Southeast Maluku Regency, Maluku Province, at 0502 hours (WIB) on Tuesday (02 June).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 204 kilometres.
