As per reports, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued warnings that tidal flooding (banjir rob) is highly anticipated to submerge multiple coastal territories in East Java and Bali.
• The high-tide warning is active until Friday (05 June). Maximum sea tides can trigger water inundation of up to 10-30 cm, which can disrupt activities.
• Several coastal areas potentially affected include the Surabaya Port area, including North Surabaya and Benowo. The Banyuwangi region is also predicted to experience tidal flooding.
• Based on analysis of water level data and tidal predictions in Bali, several coastal areas are in the tidal flood-prone zone, including South coast of Jembrana Regency, South coast of Tabanan Regency, Badung Regency Coast, Denpasar City Coast, Coast of Gianyar Regency and South coast of Klungkung Regency.
