As per reports, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded approximately 14 kilometres south-southwest of Pinotepa Nacional in Oaxaca, Mexico, on Sunday (31 May).

The earthquake was recorded at 0558 hours local time (1158 hours UTC) on Sunday (31 May) at a depth of nine kilometres, classifying it as a shallow-focus event, and the epicentre was located at 16.233 degrees North, 98.126 degrees West.
