The Indian Meteorological Department has issued inclement weather warnings in parts of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday (31 May).

Following is the detailed weather forecast:

• As per the IMD forecast, a yellow alert for strong surface winds, thudnerstorm, lightning, and squall has been issued in Chamba, Kangra, Una, Hamirpur, Mandi, Kullu, Bilaaspur, Solan, Shimla and Sirmaur.
• As per the nowcast issued by the India Meteorological Department at 0900 hours (local time) on Sunday (31 May), a yellow alert remains in effect for moderate rainfall and snowfall in Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur. Additionally, a yellow alert for light rainfall and snowfall has been issued for Kullu and Shimla, while light rainfall is forecast in Sirmaur, Mandi, and Solan. The nowcast will be valid till 1200 hours (local time).
• As per the National Disaster Management Authority of India, an orange alert for pre-fire conditions has been issued across Himachal Pradesh.
