Authorities stated that temporary suspension on final decisions related to immigration applications originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, and Uganda is scheduled to take effect from Wednesday (27 May).

• Ebola-related border screening and quarantine measures are scheduled to come into effect from Saturday (30 May) and remain active until 29 August.
• Officials from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) stated that the 90-day suspension applies to permanent resident visas, temporary resident visas, electronic travel authorizations, temporary resident permits, study permits, and work permits.
• Additionally, it was noted that the suspension period may be extended or lifted depending on developments linked to the Ebola outbreak.

Travellers lacking suitable accommodation for isolation are to be assigned designated quarantine facilities by the government.
