As per reports, light to heavy rainfall is expected across multiple regions in Ethiopia on Monday (25 May).

• Reports indicate that affected areas in western Amhara may include Metema, Humera, and surrounding localities. In Benishangul Gumuz, locations such as Assosa, Kamashi, and Metekel Zone may experience rainfall activity. In western Oromia, areas including Nekemte, Gimbi, and Dembi Dolo may be impacted.
• Reportedly, southern Oromia may witness rainfall in Negele Borana, Yabelo, and Bule Hora. In the Gambella region, including Gambella town, Itang, and Abobo, may receive moderate to heavy rainfall. In southwestern Ethiopia, particularly Jimma, Bonga, and Mizan Teferi, may experience persistent rainfall.
• In the Sidama region, including Hawassa, Yirgalem, and Aleta Wendo, may be affected. In southern Ethiopia, including Arba Minch, Jinka, and Dilla, may also experience rainfall conditions.
