GoSafe Mobile Application

This section applies specifically to the GoSafe mobile application (“GoSafe”), a traveller-safety app provided by MitKat. In addition to the information described elsewhere in this policy, when you use GoSafe we collect and process the following:

Location data

GoSafe collects your device’s precise location (GPS). We use your location to:
• send real-time safety alerts about incidents and risks near you;
• provide Live Location Tracking, which shares your location with our safety command centre while you have tracking enabled, so we can monitor your wellbeing during travel; and
• power one-tap SOS emergency assistance, which sends your current location to our response team so that help can be dispatched.

You control location access through your device’s permission settings and the in-app Live Location toggle, and you can disable it at any time. GoSafe collects location only while you are using the app and have enabled tracking. We do not sell your location data and do not share it with third parties for advertising.

Other information collected in GoSafe

To deliver safety services we also collect:
• your name, email address and phone number (for account creation and verification by one-time password);
• your nationality, passport number and employee/identification code (where provided by you or your organisation, to assist with traveller identification and emergency response); and
• emergency contact details (name and phone number) you provide, so we can reach your nominated contact in an emergency.

How GoSafe data is shared

Location and the information above are shared only with MitKat’s GoSafe safety command centre / response team and, where applicable, the organisation that registered you for the service, for the purpose of safety monitoring and emergency response. We do not sell this data.

Security and retention

All GoSafe data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law.

Account and data deletion

You can delete your GoSafe account and all associated personal data at any time from within the app (Account → Delete account), or by contacting us at marketing@datasurfr.ai.
