As per reports, The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), through its National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC), has issued a weather advisory forecasting a significant rise in temperatures across Pakistan from Monday to Saturday (18-23 May), alongside intermittent unstable weather conditions in several regions.

• While most provinces are expected to experience a steady increase in mercury, scattered rainfall, thunderstorm activity, strong windstorms, and isolated hailstorms are likely in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
• In Punjab, affected districts include Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Multan, Sahiwal, Okara, Sialkot, Kasur, Lahore, and surrounding areas, with unstable weather expected between Tuesday to Friday (19-22 May), while temperatures continue to rise through Saturday (23 May).
• Sindh is expected to remain predominantly hot and dry, with steadily increasing heat levels.
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) may experience isolated rainfall and storm activity in areas including Peshawar, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Bannu, Karak, Dir, Chitral, and surrounding districts, alongside rising temperatures.
• Balochistan is also likely to see scattered thunderstorms and hail events in districts such as Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Chaman, and Khuzdar.
• Scattered thunderstorms and hail events are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, with localized storm activity and rising temperatures across valleys and mountainous regions.
