AAP staged protests across Punjab on Sunday (10 May); clashes reported

As per reports, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has staged protests across Punjab on Sunday (10 May) against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrest of Punjab minister Sanjeev Arora.

• Demonstrations have been reported in multiple districts, including Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Mohali, and Barnala, where protesters have burned effigies of the central government and displayed placards while raising slogans against the Centre and central investigative agencies.
• Additionally, sporadic clashes have been reported between AAP and BJP supporters outside the BJP office near Mittal Mall in Bathinda, prompting police intervention to prevent further escalation.
• Police have been deployed near protest locations to maintain public order, while localised traffic congestion and short-duration movement disruptions have been reported in affected areas.
