According to reports, the Australian Services Union (ASU) at eight Metro Melbourne Councils will undertake a 24-hour strike action on Tuesday (05 May) to secure fair wages and improved conditions.

Workers will be meeting at the Victorian Trades Hall Council at 1000 hours (local time) for a barbecue and marching down to rally at the Victorian Parliament at 1100 hours (local time).
