As per reports, Punjab Police and security agencies are on high alert as of Monday (04 May), following a purported audio message by the Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), threatening attacks on railway infrastructure in subsequent days. The message came a few days after the attempted bombing of railway tracks near Patiala on 27 April.
Intelligence and law enforcement agencies have intensified surveillance across sensitive locations. The Indian Railways has also stepped up security measures, including increased patrolling, anti-sabotage checks, and deployment of additional personnel at key stations and tracks
