As per reports, the City of Catania has issued Ordinance 428 to implement traffic restrictions and road closures on Sunday (03 May) to accommodate the European Master Athletics event.

• The event features hundreds of international participants and requires significant modifications to the local road network to ensure safety.
• A transit ban is established for all vehicles on Viale Presidente J.F. Kennedy from 0700 hours local time (0500 hours UTC) to 1700 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) on Sunday (03 May).
• The closure affects both carriageways of Viale Kennedy in the stretch from the Palaghiaccio (Ice Rink) roundabout to the roundabout with S.P. 53 – San Francesco La Rena.
• Exceptions to the transit ban include vehicles directed to commercial activities, residents accessing private garages or areas, law enforcement, and emergency rescue vehicles.
• A parking ban with forced removal is in effect on Viale Kennedy from 0700 hours local time (0500 hours UTC) to 1900 hours local time (1700 hours UTC).
• The affected areas include Viale Presidente J.F. Kennedy, the Palaghiaccio roundabout, S.P. 53, and the southern coastal districts of Catania.
