The Indian Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for inclement weather conditions in parts of Uttar Pradesh till Monday (04 May).
Following is the detailed weather advisory issued:
• On Thursday (30 April), an orange alert for hailstorm, strong surface winds, thunderstorm, lightning and squalls has been issued in Saharanpur, Shamali Muzafarnagar, Meerut, Baghpath, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandsahar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Kanpur, Unnao, Raibareli, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Jaunpur, Varanasi, Gazipur, Ballia, Chandauli, Sonbhadra. Moreover, a yellow alert is active in Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Jhansi, Mahoba, Lalitpur, Sitapur, Bahraich, Sitapur, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, Basti, Ayodhya, Amethi, Ambedkar Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Azamgarh, and Mau.
• No weather alerts have been issued in Uttar Pradesh from Friday (01 May) till Sunday (04 May).
• On Monday (04 May), a yellow alert for strong surface winds, thunderstorm, squalls, and lightning is active in Saharanpur, Muzafarnagar, Baghpath, Meerut, Bijnor, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hapur, Bulandsahar, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra, Mahamayanagr, Firozabad, Etah, Kanshiram Nagar, Farrukhabad, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Jyotibaphule Nagar, Moradabad, Sambhal, Badaun, Bareilly, Pilihibit, Kheri, Sambhal, Moradabad, Sitapur, Lucknow, Unnao, Raibearelli, Amethi, Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, Prayagraj, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Gazipur, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Balrampur, Shrawasti, Gonda, Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Bahraich and Kheri.
