As per the Malaysian Meteorological Department advisory issued on Tuesday (28 April), thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected across parts of Sarawak, Sabah, and the Federal Territory of Labuan until 0600 hours (local time).

• In Sarawak, affected areas include Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan, Julau and Meradong), Sibu, Mukah (Daro, Matu, Dalat and Mukah), Kapit, Bintulu, and Limbang.
• In Sabah, affected Interior Division areas include Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, and Keningau. Similar thunderstorm conditions are also expected across Labuan.
