As per reports, a fire broke out in slums on Modinagar Road in Pilkhuwa area of Hapur on Monday (27 April) morning. More than 20 huts were destroyed in the fire and there have been no reports of casualties yet.

• The situation has worsened as the fire spread to a neighbouring factory and firefighters are attempting to extinguish the fire.
• Firefighting efforts to control the fire are ongoing and the cause of the fire will be investigated.
